Today's previews

Manchester City vs Sunderland prediction: City's depth tested by injury crisis

Manchester City are heavily favoured at home, with the model assigning them a 70% win probability against a Sunderland side that has won just once in four league matches. The decisive factor will be whether City's attacking threat—led by Erling Haaland's four goals this season—can break down a Sunderland defence already stretched by multiple injuries, or whether the visitors' own defensive vulnerabilities prove too costly to overcome.

Leeds vs Crystal Palace prediction: home form edges depleted visitors

Leeds are favoured at 55% to beat Crystal Palace, a margin that reflects their superior league position and recent momentum rather than a dominant underlying advantage. The model's confidence rests on Leeds' four-game unbeaten run and their defensive solidity in recent weeks, but Crystal Palace's injury troubles—particularly the absence of key attacking and defensive personnel—may matter more than the raw probability suggests. This is a match where Leeds' home record and Palace's away struggles could prove decisive, though both sides arrive with thin seasonal samples.

Cleveland Guardians vs Athletics prediction: home form and streak advantage

Cleveland Guardians are favoured at 68% to beat Oakland Athletics in a matchup where the hosts' four-game winning streak and superior home record should prove decisive. The model's edge reflects not just Cleveland's league position (11th, 240 points) against Oakland's basement standing (29th, 183 points), but the stark difference in recent momentum: Guardians have won four straight whilst Athletics have lost five in succession. The deciding factor is Cleveland's home efficiency—they average 1.50 points per game at Progressive Field compared to Oakland's 1.20 away—combined with Oakland's inability to score, averaging just 2.8 goals across their last five matches.

AC Milan vs Lecce prediction: home form and depth advantage

AC Milan are clear favourites at 70% to win, a gap of six percentage points over the market's 76% assessment. The decisive factor is Milan's perfect home record this season—three points from one match—against Lecce's vulnerability on the road, where they have managed only 1.50 points per game. Milan's depth will be tested by injury absences, but their current form and table position (6th, 8 points) give them a structural edge over a Lecce side sitting 12th with 6 points.

Football predictions today

Premier League, Champions League, LaLiga and more

Football predictions come with three-way probabilities (home, draw, away), an over/under 2.5 goals lean and a handicap line. Each league page lists the coming week's fixtures with the model's recent hit rate for that competition.

Two-way win probabilities for US leagues

Basketball, baseball and hockey have no draw, so the prediction is a single win probability per side. Baseball uses a Poisson runs model with the listed starters; basketball and hockey use Elo win expectancy with home advantage.

Win probability, explained

A 50/50 match stays 50/50.

Most prediction sites show 85% or 90% confidence on single picks. The maths does not support that. A clear favourite in the Premier League wins roughly two matches in three, and a tight derby is close to a coin flip once the draw is counted. Our probabilities are calibrated to the real variance of each sport, and the calibration is checked on the accuracy page. When the model disagrees with the bookmaker market we show both numbers and the gap, so you can see where the edge is supposed to be.

FAQ

Questions people ask about sports predictions

What is an AI sports prediction?

A probability for each outcome of a match, produced by a statistical model rather than a pundit. On this site the model combines Elo team ratings with margin of victory, a Dixon-Coles goal model for football and market-implied odds with the bookmaker margin removed.

How accurate are the predictions?

It depends on the league. Match-winner accuracy across graded fixtures is published on the accuracy page and updated as results come in. A 55% hit rate in football is normal because draws are hard to call. We show the real number, not a marketing one.

Which sports and leagues are covered?

Football (Premier League, LaLiga, Bundesliga, Serie A, Ligue 1, Champions League, MLS, K League 1), basketball (NBA), baseball (MLB, KBO, NPB) and ice hockey (NHL).

Why only a few matches per day?

We publish the handful of fixtures where the model, the market and the AI panel all have something to say. Bulk-generated pages for every kick-off add noise and nothing else. Every other fixture is still listed on the today page.

Is this a betting tips service?

No. There are no tips, no VIP plans and no bonus offers. Probabilities are shown so you can judge a match for yourself. A prediction can be wrong on any single game.

Do I need an account?

No. Everything on the site is free and open, including the full accuracy record.
